Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We collect only what we need to run the marketplace, and we never sell your data.

1.What we collect

When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and the state or territory you teach in. If you buy a resource we record the purchase and the tax-invoice details. If you sell, we collect your store details and your bank and identity information is collected and held by Stripe, not by us. We also keep basic technical data such as your device type and pages visited.

2.How we use it

We use your information to run your account, process payments and payouts, issue tax invoices, provide support, and improve the platform. We send you transactional emails (receipts, refund updates, download links) and, only if you opt in, occasional product updates.

3.Payments and Stripe

Card payments, seller identity checks, and bank details are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number or bank account details. Stripe processes this information under its own privacy policy as our payment provider.

4.Who we share it with

We share data only with the providers that help us operate: Stripe (payments), Supabase (secure data hosting), and our email provider for transactional messages. We may disclose information if required by law. We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.

5.Your rights

You can view and update most of your details from your account settings. You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account. Use our contact form and we'll action requests within a reasonable time, consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.

6.Data security and retention

Data is stored on secured, access-controlled infrastructure hosted in Australia. We keep purchase and tax records for as long as Australian tax law requires, and other personal information only for as long as we need it to provide the service.

7.Questions

If you have a privacy question or concern, contact us via our contact form. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
