Tax & GST
How tax and GST work on Rewarding Resources
We keep the tax side simple. As the marketplace seller-of-record, we handle GST end to end - so buyers always get a proper tax invoice and sellers don't need to be GST-registered to start.
Tax invoices, issued automatically
Every purchase generates a GST tax invoice in your name. Find it next to the order in your library and use it for school reimbursement or your own records. Displayed prices already include 10% GST.
GST: marketplace seller-of-record
Rewarding Resources is the marketplace seller-of-record. We collect 10% GST on every sale, remit it to the ATO, and issue tax invoices to buyers on the seller's behalf. Sellers do not need to be GST-registered to sell.
End-of-financial-year statement
Buyers and sellers each get a consolidated statement covering the Australian financial year. Buyers can use it for reimbursement records; sellers can use it to reconcile earnings at tax time.
Adding your ABN (optional)
If you have an ABN, add it in your seller profile and we'll include it on the documents where it's relevant. You can still sell without one - GST is handled for you either way.
