How do I map a resource to Australian Curriculum v9 descriptors?

3 min read

Mapping is how teachers find your work. When a buyer browses or searches by curriculum, your resource shows up because of the descriptors you've tagged it with - so it's worth getting right.

Use the curriculum picker

When you upload or edit a resource, open the curriculum picker and work top-down: choose the syllabus first (Australian Curriculum v9, or a state syllabus such as NSW, WACE, VCE, QCE, SACE, TCE or BSSS), then the year level, then the strand, then tick the specific content descriptors your resource addresses.

You can add more than one

Tag every descriptor your resource genuinely covers, and map across more than one syllabus where it applies - for example an Australian Curriculum v9 descriptor and the matching NSW outcome. Each mapping is another way a teacher can discover the resource.

Map accurately, not broadly

Only tag descriptors the resource actually addresses. Over-tagging to appear in more searches leads to refunds and poor reviews; accurate mapping builds trust and repeat buyers.

Once you save, your resource appears in browse, search, and curriculum-filtered results for those descriptors.
